Crowdfund Walsall Pledging £50k Towards Local Projects

Crowdfund Walsall are currently offering residents, communities and businesses up to £3,500 to get their local project off the ground.

With a total of £50,000 to pledge towards projects that benefit local residents, the deadline to apply is September 22, 2021.

To be eligible, applicants must go through an approval process, detailing how their project benefits Walsall residents.

Priority for the funds will go towards Walsall led organisations and is not available for individuals or profit-making organisations.

The money comes from the Walsall Community Heritage Fund, so priority will be given to those whose project supports the heritage theme. i.e. improving habitats, social history, refurbishment of community assets.

About Crowdfund Walsall

Crowdfund Walsall was set up by Walsall Council to give local residents the opportunity to use their creativity to devise projects that enhance the local area and improve the lives of the community. Projects that it has been involved in, include the Goscote Greenacres Refurb, Grenfell Road beekeeping and the Willenhall Lock Stock music festival.
