Walsall Council has given the thumbs up to the building of a new “super tip” in Aldridge.

Work is expected to begin on a huge House Waste Recycling Centre on the Redhouse Industrial Estate in September. Once complete, the current tip on Merchants Way will be closed.
In addition to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, the grounds will also include a waste transfer station and a “re-use and up-cycling shop”, which will sell furniture, as well as a dedicated area that small business can use to get rid of waste.
A section for Blue Badge holder to receive assisted help will also be available.
The new Middlemore Lane Aldridge site is expected to be complete by March 2025 with the building contractor to be decided before the end of this month.
The site will be open every day of the week from 8am to 7pm.
The tip on Fryer’s Road in Bloxwich is also set to have a refurbishment, though a date for closure has yet to be confirmed.
