Snow predicted for Walsall this week

Met Office forecasters are predicting snowfall in the Walsall area later this week.

A yellow warning has been issued with snow expected within a 24-hour period from 3am on Thursday 6 February until 3am on Friday.

Though snow in some parts of the country is expected to be as much as 15cm, the forecast for the Black Country states: “A band of rain, sleet, and increasingly snow, will push north on Thursday bringing up to 2cm snow at lower-levels, 2-5cm on ground above 200m, and perhaps as much as 10-20cm above 400m.”
