Walsall Council-run gyms at the Gala, Oak Park and Bloxwich are set to close for a couple of days in December to prepare for the installation of new equipment.
In addition to new cardio-vascular equipment featuring the latest touch-screen technology, there will be a self-powered range of cardio-vascular equipment including air bikes, ski ergs and curved treadmills.
The Oak Park and Bloxwich centres will also have “new premium model fixed resistance equipment, with digital consoles, an extended free weights area with heavy plate loaded and strength and conditioning equipment and the TRAKK user-friendly personal training app, designed to track your workout activity.”
Walsall Gym Closing Times In December
The gyms will be closed on the following dates:
- Gala: Gym closed Monday 28 – Wednesday 30 November
- Oak Park: Gym closed Wednesday 30 Nov – Friday 2 December
- Bloxwich: Gym closed Monday 5 – Wednesday 7 December
To encourage more people to get fit, Walsall Council has confirmed that prices to join its gyms will be frozen with memberships starting at £17 per month.
