Parents across the Walsall borough will today find out where their children will begin their school journey.
3,417 applications were made for children due to start Reception in September 2023 with 92.3% offered their first preference, 3.98% offered their second preference and 1.17% offered their third preference.
Walsall Council reiterated that parents should always choose three preferences when applying. On this occasion, 66 of the 87 children who were not offered their preferred school only stated one school on the application form.
Emails and notifications will be sent to parents throughout the day.
