West Midlands Police are appealing to the public to come forward if they have any information about an armed robbery that took place at Coventry Building Society on Saturday 8 October, 2022.
At approximately 8.30am, three masked men attempted to enter the building on Hagley Road West in Oldbury armed with an axe and a hammer, but they fled after staff intervened. No one was injured.
The trio escaped in a dark-coloured Volkswagon Scirocco with a getaway driver at the wheel.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and conducting enquiries, but are asking anyone who saw the attempted robbery, or anything suspicious, to come forward.
