Junction 10 of the M6 in Walsall will be closed in both directions this weekend for the demolition of the old South bridge.
The busy carriageway will be shut from 8pm on Friday 20 May until 6am on Monday 23 May.
The M6 Junction 9 Northbound slip road will also be closed and diversion have been put in place.
Earlier this month, the old North bridge was demolished to make way for a new, wider bridge that will double the number of lanes at the busy junction.
The National Highways agency has said that the work will be very noisy and has apologised in advance to local residents.
