Certain Walsall businesses can now apply for the first phase of grants due to the spread of Omicron.
The grants, which are based on the rateable value of business premises, can be claimed from the grant approval website for affected companies in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation industries.
A full list of those businesses can be found on Walsall Council’s support for businesses during COVID-19 website and include restaurants, wedding venues and B&Bs.
More local schemes are planned to help support businesses, with the council currently designing ‘Additional Restrictions Discretionary’ grant and a COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund for those companies unable to claim this current grant.
